خلاصه 3 درس اول Oxford Word Skill - Basic

در این بخش تصمیم دارم خلاصه از سه درس اول کتاب خیلی خوب Oxford Word Skill در سطح Basic رو براتون قرار بدم. امیدوارم  مفید باشه.

Use the minutes with to and past when a number of minutes is not Five, Ten, Fifteen, Twenty or Twenty-five, e.g. three minutes past six NOT three past six.

03:05 --> three minutes past six, NOT three past six

About means 'a bit more or a little less than'

How many student are there? ~ About 20. (= 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 or 22)

How much is it? ~ It is about $100.

9 a.m.--> nine o'clock in the morning.

12:00 p.m. --> midday

5:00 p.m.--> five o'clock in the afternoon

7:00 p.m. --> seven o'clock in the evening

7:57 --> nearly/almost eight o'clock

8:02  --> just after eight

11:30 --> eleven thirty at night

12:00 a.m. midnight

Days of the week:

Monday --> Tuesday --> Wednesday --> Thursday --> Friday --> Saturday --> Sunday

5.

Months of the year:

January --> February --> March --> April --> May --> June --> July --> August --> September --> October --> November --> December

6.

Day's and months have a capital letter.

Monday Not Monday / April Not april

7.

Seasons in Britain:

Spring: (March, April, May) / m.a.m

Summer: (June, July, August) / j.j.a

Autumn: (September, October, November) / s.o.n

Winter: (December, January, February) / d.j.f

8.

Special days:

Christmas day: 25 December

New Year's Day: 1 January

Your birthday: the day you were born

We can write the date like this:
